MCCES

Wow, it has been sometime. as soon as i get a computer it will be much better for blogging then the phone. the space bar dosnt always work and i have to go back and put the spaces in. same with texting. well i started class, and its just like collage, just like when they force you to do homework and conduct study groups because if dont, well its bad. not just a bad grade, oh and you are in class untill midnight starting at 5pm, then whenclass is done its time to pt! yes nothing like making your body burn at one or two in the morning. oh and if you fail class, you lose this job, and get a crappy one instead. but itsnot that hard so far...

Holy North Koreans batman!

Right so, this week sucked and rocked at the same time, literlly, like at the very same time I was happy and pissed. Well, for example, it was fun firing 100 rounds each though two machine guns yelling random dittys and names. But being nasty dirty, stinky, sore, and best of all knowing that when i was done with my 100 rounds, the next guy would pop his out, then the next, and so on untill the whole company has gone though, and then i get to clean it. Ever cleaned somethin-... No you havent. And hope that you never will. But, I have pride in knowing that when i was handed a 240B at 0830 or so in the morning, i could clear it to make sure that there is no rounds or links, the dissasemble, change barrels, reassemble, and function check, in 33 seconds. 52 seconds on the 249SAW. 4 out of 5 average with a m203 40mm grenade launcher. And im a dead eye with the M16A4+RCO. Jeepeers i'm cool. Plus I can mount a nasty defending position, on a convoy or in the dirt. And thats not all I learned in one friggen week. Ill leave this rat hole soon...

Back for more

Oh sunny californi, how sunny you have never been. Im back and start combat training tomorrow. It looks as if to make boot camp PT a silly little joke, but lots of weapon systems to train on. Very cool. On the way down from salt lake I was blessed by the people of southwest flight 1278. The flight atendant, whos name I have so shamefully forgotten, told everyone about how exited she was that i was with them and asked if everyone would chip in a buck so I could have a nice dinner, $82.00 dollors later, I use the PA on the freaken plane and tell everone how much we all apreciate the support of the people we have volenteered to defend. They all claped and cheared, and the day was won, save only I did not get to eat anthing nice before I got here. But that money will be used to buy the gear I need tomorrow that I would not have had money for! Thursday we toss m67s, i'm really stoked, ill write about it for sure. As for the rest of the post Im running out of things to say so when I have something interesting ill make sure and post it. To all the other marines out there, OORAH! And Semper Fi

Earned the Title.

Thirteen weeks. Twelve of them training as a recruit. Now i'm a Marine, a trained member of the worlds most leathal and effective fighting force. Basicly trained, but still a weapon. Can you hit 9 out of 10 on a 20×40 inch target at 500 yards with iron sights? Or put a full grown man on the ground with a twist of the wrist? I can. Plus I fit into 32 34 jeans. Nice. But more important than anything, i'm a Marine. I have brothers all over the world ready to die for me as I would die for them. I am a part of a legacy of warriors that the world knows, respects and fears.

MCRD

Hey everyone, I got to San Diego safe. I am at the USO right now waiting to get picked up and driven over to MCRD.
I saw it when we flew in, really big.
I had mc donalds for the first time in like four months, not that awesome. They had me send coupons home but you don't need to use them.
I miss you all, and this is hard at first, but it will be easier soon.
The next time I update this I will be a Marine, and I will have seen everyone already.

Every silver lining has its cloud.

One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite songs played by one of my favorite bands (TAT). I got pushed back because I was not fit enough for boot camp, so I now have an extra two weeks to prepare and get my stuff taken care of, such as selling my house, and preparing it to sell. My Diviorce is final now. I am trying not to let it upset me. I have alot to prepare for. But I've lots to do today and not the time to do it.

Boot Camp

In less than a week I will be shipped to San diego CA MCRD. Marine Corps Recruit Depot in CA is where all male recruits west of the mississippi river go for training. It will be Thirteen weeks, and i will be a full on marine ready for combat. I'm looking forward to the challenge, its what i want and probably need. I know that when I make it though the Crucible the 54 hour non stop running uphill with my pack, lifting, everything one can do to be tried by fire. I hope I will be squad leader, then I will have a few extra reasons to make it look easy. On a side note I am posting this entry from my phone, its the t-mobile g1. Its friggin sweeet. Well since my wife left me i have lost 20 extra lbs, gained the ability to do one pull up and basicly in much better shape. I think thats a good thing. At this point I had better get ready for the day.
